When my father passed away and I needed to sell his house, I was unsure which Real Estate Agency to use as I was no living interstate. After some investigation, I decided to employ Garry Clarke and his team at Clarke National REALTY and couldn't have been more pleased.
Being from Queensland, I was totally reliant on Garry's assessment of the market value of my father's property and of the current market sentiment. In this regard I found Garry to be supremely knowledgeable and extremely accurate.

Recently I entered the housing market with a view to purchasing my first home. I believe that trust and respect are earned rather than given. You sealed my trust and respect for you late in 2008 when you advised me not to sell the property. At that time we both needed that sale for our own reasons. You demonstrated strong moral values to advise and do what was right for me – And I appreciated that very much.

It was a tough decision to sell our home and when the time came to do so we needed the assistance of a real estate agent. Our home was in the Hurstville area and logically we contacted real estate agents in that area.
After interviewing several of them there was no sense of comfort. We left it for a few days and thought that they would contact us to follow‐up however none did.
My brother Shane who had used Clarke National REALTY, especially Garry Clarke previously, highly recommended the agency (especially Garry). Even though the property was not in an area Garry usually deals with, he agreed to do so. After the initial contact via phone and email, we setup a first meeting at his office. The initial greeting was warm and with a smile. This was not only from Garry but his daughter Lucy who was there at the time. The first impression was a great deal of comfort not only from the perspective that this was a genuine family business but there was a sense that there was trust. After the first meeting, which took as long as my wife and I needed, we felt comfortable. He explained the process and what we were expected to pay. Garry also did something no other real estate did, he asked us what we wanted. In addition the only promise he made was to do the best he could for us and take on the worry for himself. We were so sure that we gave him the keys to make an assessment of the property and kept those keys with him. Based on his recommendations we enhanced the property. The speed at which the process was commenced was phenomenal. Throughout the process, he kept us posted and true to his word he made the experience that much easier. In addition there were times in the process where the questionable characteristics of others meant that Garry was challenged. I would never have known about these instances had it not been for the integrity and honesty of Garry. Nothing seemed to be an issue or a problem, there were always solutions provided. In some instances I believed that he went above and beyond the call of duty. A simple example was when we were not able to get to the property to collect the lights. Garry went there and got these for us. What Garry says he does and more. True to his word my wife and I did not have to worry about a thing. He even managed to get us a price that we were extremely happy with. To say that this was a positive experience would be an understatement. It is rare to find someone today with traditional family values and trustworthy. It is even rarer to find someone in today’s world where their word really is their bond.
